In Loving Memory of Our Late Founder

In loving memory of our late Founder, and my Dad – Wong Mok Siw

Mr Wong Mok Siw, Founder of M.S. Wong & Co., died at the age of 67 on Sunday 18th October 2015 at 1.20am in the morning, after a 3 year battle with liver cancer. My mom and two younger brothers were at his bedside when he passed away.

Wong Mok Siw

The wake was held from Sunday, 18th October 2015 to Thursday 22nd October at his family residence and he was buried in the afternoon on final day of the wake. On behalf of my family, I would express my gratitude to all friends and valued clients for the flower wreaths sent, condolence messages and for your attendance at the wake and the memorial services. Your care and concern truly helped us get through this difficult period.

M.S. Wong was born in a humble, rural family in Kelapa Sawit, the youngest amongst his siblings. He was born with a handicap – without a knee on his right leg. Due to his handicap, his family was determined to give him a good education from young. He did not disappoint them and achieved stellar results since young.

M.S. Wong obtained his Bachelor degree from the prestigious National Chengchi University (政治大学), after which he spent 7 years of articleship in Liverpool, UK and obtained a Chartered Accountants status under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW).

M.S. Wong & Co. was founded in 1981, upon obtaining the Approved Auditor License and Licensed Tax Agent status. From a very humble office in Foh Chong Building and under his leadership, the company grew steadily from strength to strength. Today, M.S. Wong & Co. employs almost 50 staff, and is an established firm in the market. M.S. Wong is known to be uncompromising in insisting on quality and integrity in his work, and yet offers practical and trusted advice to his clients. He has certainly set a very strong base for the firm to be built on.

Under my management, M.S. Wong & Co. will continue to carry on in the same spirit as the foundation set by my Dad and to continue establishing ourselves in the market. I believe that this is the best way to honour the memory of my late father. Once again, thank you for your support in this time.
